About Wright
Melanie has more than 20 years of experience in physical therapy and 30+ years in the fitness industry. She began practicing as a physical therapist under the direction of many well-renowned orthopedic surgeons as an inpatient physical therapist within a hospital setting/total joint center. Melanie then moved to an outpatient clinic where her role as clinical director allowed her to see a vast variety of patients. She focused on long-term health issues, overall wellness, and the benefits of a continued active lifestyle. Some of the skills she has acquired throughout her career include patient care, conducting back care classes, ergonomic assessments, injury prevention, kinesiotaping, practicing McKenzie techniques, and MFR manual therapy. In addition to providing excellent patient care, she has been a group fitness instructor for the past 30 years teaching cardio classes, weight training, and yoga.
Melanie has been married for 27 years to a lieutenant for the City of Memphis Fire Department and has one daughter. We are so excited that she has joined Delta Orthopaedics & Sports Medicine and look forward to a long partnership with her caring for our patients.
