Meet Dr. Miller

Robert Miller, MD is a board-certified member of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons (AAOS) with a specialization in sports medicine, American Orthopaedic Society for Sports Medicine (AOSSM), Tennessee Orthopedic Society, and the Memphis Orthopedic Society.

Dr. Miller practices General Orthopaedics with an emphasis on sports medicine which includes knee, shoulder, elbow, ankle, and hip problems. He also cares for common musculoskeletal complaints.

Dr. Miller graduated from the University of the South (Sewanee) in 1986 Magna Cum Laude with a BA in Political Science with Honors.

Dr. Miller obtained his medical degree from Vanderbilt University in 1980. He completed two years of General Surgery residency at Vanderbilt University Hospitals from 1980-1982. He then received his orthopaedic training at Campbell Clinic in Memphis, Tn. from 1982-1985. He subsequently completed a sports medicine fellowship at the Hughston Orthopedic Clinic in Columbus, Ga. In 1986. At that time, he was recruited back to join the staff at Campbell Clinic where he practiced from 1986 through 2024. While on the staff, he was an Assistant Professor in the Department of Orthopaedic Surgery at the University of Tennessee College of Medicine. He was the team physician for Rhodes College for 38 years. He was also a member of the medical team for the University of Memphis, the Memphis Redbirds, and the Memphis Grizzllies.

He retired from Campbell Clinic and joined Dr. Hood at Delta Orthopaedics and Sports Medicine on January 1st, 2025 to practice at the Collierville office.

Dr. Miller has been married to his wife, Nancy, for 40 years and they have three children: Meredith, Katharine, and Andrew.
